Also, Accumounts offers a nice looking replica M41B mount setup, and I have considered purchasing one of those and using the mount if I should find a decent and affordable Ajack scope without the original mount, at least until I could get an original mount. I have a Swedish m96 target rifle with an original 1942 Ajack m41b scope & mount.

Put simply, anything you can do with a .270 you can probably do with a 6.5 x 55mm, for a lot less money. When I bought mine, a guy in the store was buying a used Remington 700 in .270, with no sights, for $600. He wanted to know how much a 3x-9x scope, mounted, would cost him.
